Want to host a kettlebell cert?

athena1
I’ve given certs now in Taizhong and Tainan and I’m ready to do more! We need a minimum of five people and you’ll need kettlebells to do the cert — 16kg for men, and 8 and 12kg for the ladies. We can announce the kettlebell cert on our page here and perhaps get others to attend, adding some publicity for your gym, yoga studio, or personal training studio.
We’ve certified 200 trainers now and we’re looking to add happy, enthusiastic people like you to that group. So if this is something you’re interested in doing, let us know and we can schedule it! Thanks!

Swinging the 44kg like it’s nothing

Look at what swinging the heavy weights will get you. Lots of hard work here and a very flat tummy is the result. Swinging that 8kg for an hour won’t get you what this will. People can play with toy kettlebells all they want but with hard work, you should be progressing to higher weights.

Throw away the 12kg because I can swing 16kg?

Light kettlebells are still useful?
Yes! This is something that really surprises me. Why do some people think that when you’re able to use the 20kg, you have to throw the 16kg away? When you’re able to use 20kg dumbbells for curls, does your gym throw away the 15kg dumbbells? Of course not.  So why do people think that once you can use a heavier kettlebell, that the lighter weights become useless?
I personally use the entire range of kettlebells – from 4kg to 48kg. They are ALL useful. I use the 4kg for some shoulder and back movements that you CAN NOT use a heavier weight with. The double 8kg is perfect for me to use with overhead squat. The 12kg is one of the most useful kettlebells I own. I can take it with me any where. 12Kg is what I use for cardio/fat loss work, most of the time. A heavier kettlebell would perhaps interfere with my strength training unless I made it a part of my programming. For example, if I’m trying to increase my barbell military press, I have to be careful with pressing the kettlebells or I can interfere with my strength work. But using the 12kg doesn’t impact my strength work because it’s light for me. So I can use it for high reps to get fat loss results while still getting strong with the barbell.
The 16kg is also one of the most versatile weights you can get. I use it all the time to workout, even though I can swing the 48kg. Why? Because I don’t always feel like swinging the 48kg. Just because I can swing 48kg doesn’t mean I throw all the other weights away. Swinging the 48kg is strength training for me but I don’t always go as heavy as possible all the time. I can bench 141kg, but does that mean I never bench anything but 141kg?
I use the entire range of kettlebells for all kinds of training. Kettlebells are an investment that you can pass down in your family to your kids. They’re practically indestructible and there’s value in an entire set far beyond what most people see.

Turkish get-up or Turkish SIT-up?

We’ve talked many times about being careful which videos you watch and here’s a great example of what NOT to do.

This may be from NIKE but it is a terrible movement that is NOT a Turkish getup. We like to say NIKE = Not Into Kettlebell Exercise. Even though they’re a large company, they don’t know everything and their kettlebell videos are terrible, as are the others from big shoe companies. If you want shoes, get NIKEs. But if you want kettlebell knowledge, go to the people that have it.

Can your adjustable kettlebell do this?

quality control

We test our products and we go way out of our way to bring you the best we can get. Not only that, but we ACTUALLY USE these products hard, probably harder than you will since they’re in our gym getting used 7 days a week every week. Can the crappy company that sells cheap junk say that? And will they do this:

I took two of our new kettlebells from the latest shipment and tried my best to break them. All I managed to do was scratch the paint off. A little sandpaper and spray paint and they would be good to go.

Can a cheap adjustable kettlebell do that? How about a plastic kettlebell? When you buy from us, you get quality and here we are proving it. There’s a reason you don’t see other companies showing you stuff like this.
